From the Desk of the Principal: February Newsletter

02-01-2018NewslettersMs. Mary Beth Zentner

And just like that, January has flown by, making way for lots of February fun!

As we continue Catholic Schools Week, I want to express my continued appreciation for the sacrifices you make to send your child to Saint Anne. We are so blessed to have these wonderful children with us every day. They are a bright light in a very complicated world!

We have had a great time celebrating Catholic Schools Week, with dress up days and a trip to the All Schools Mass for our 7th and 8th graders. Did you see the rainbow we made on Monday?

I hope you've been dusting off those lab coats and goggles, because we have two science fairs coming up this month! The Saint Anne Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, February 7th, and our winners will then head to the Diocesan Science Fair on Thursday, February 15th. Come cheer on your fellow Crusaders and learn some new things!

  • Congratulations to our Spelling Bee participants:
  • 8th: Jared Gutierrez, Justin Del Rosario, Isabella Bordinhao
  • 7th: Aarron Mangio, Mia Jacobucci, Valeria Tellez
  • 6th: Marco Soto, Miranda Loos, Dylan Keene
  • 5th: McKail Hedgeman, Jovani Kalandos, Natielle Martinez

Special shout out to Aarron Mangio, who won first place and will be representing the Diocese of Las Vegas at the State Spelling Bee! Great job, Aarron and all our stellar spellers!

We begin the season of Lent on February 14th. Please join us for our Ash Wednesday mass at 9AM. The school will also participate in Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent at 1:30PM.

Multicultural Day is the 22nd. More information will follow!

Spanish Club and choir continue this month. We will also cheer on our Lady Crusaders as the Girls Basketball Team represents Saint Anne! And don't forget that Monday, February 19th, is a day off in celebration of Presidents Day! Check the calendar and the website for more details.

Our pre-registration for the 2018-2019 school year has begun! We are excited to welcome you back for next year. Please come see us in the office if you have any questions.

Happy February! We look forward to seeing you on campus and at our various activities.

God bless,
Ms. Zentner, Principal
