Blessings to you as we go into our Fall season at Saint Anne Catholic School.   While it has not yet started to cool off, we are looking forward to Fall and all the fun activities that come with it!

September begins with our Labor Day Holiday and an extra day off for students as the teachers attend an In Service at Bishop Gorman High School on the 5th.  When classes resume on the 6th, we also begin our Volleyball season!  Our students have been practicing in the afternoons and we can’t wait to cheer the Crusaders on as they take on the other Catholic Schools in the Diocese!

September is also the month for our Terra Nova testing. Testing Week begins September 18. Please remember to be on time each morning and make sure your child is getting a good night’s sleep each night.

Welcome back to a new school year! I hope that you had a restful summer and that your children are eager to get back to school. There are so many exciting activities going on here at Saint Anne Catholic School. Teachers are getting their classrooms ready, the campus is being spruced up and we are gearing up for “Meet Your Teacher Day” on Monday, August 14th, 2017!

“Meet Your Teacher Day” is a time for you to come on campus, bring your supplies, see your classroom and of course, meet your new teacher! This is not a full day of school. You may come any time between 9 and noon. This is also a great time to drop off your supplies. It’s always so exciting to see a new classroom and catch up with old friends and meet new ones. We are all excited to welcome you back! Please note, supply lists are listed on the website.

We are busy preparing for the next year and wanted to share some updates with you.

First of all, welcome to our new 6th grade teacher, Pamela Charles.  Mrs. Charles has an extensive background in Catholic education having volunteered and worked at St. Viator for a number of years in numerous capacities.   She was also a presence at Saint Anne last year as a Reading Specialist in our lower grades.  She holds a Degree in Chemistry and Mathematics and is currently working toward a master’s degree in Special Education.  She has worked with CCSD and has completed the CCSD Alternate Route to Licensure.  We know you will join us in welcoming Mrs. Charles to our St. Anne school community.

Happy Spring!

After a rainy winter, I am happy to see the blue skies of April upon us.  What a wonderful time of year and even more so as we prepare to celebrate Easter!

There are many happenings to look forward to during this month.  First of all, our 2nd grade will be celebrating their First Reconciliation.  This is a very special time for them.  Mrs. Duffy has prepared them well and the day is sure to be one they will remember forever.

Sports continue this month, with Track and Softball.  Our Crusaders continue to impress on the court and fields.  We appreciate Coach so much for all he does for our sports program and the terrific coaches who volunteer their time so our children can enjoy a variety of sports offerings.
