From the Desk of the Principal: December Newsletter

12-01-2018NewsletterMs. Mary Beth Zentner

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We hope you all had a wonderful, restful Thanksgiving Holiday. As we begin the season of Advent, looking forward to the birth of Jesus, we have much to be thankful for and much to anticipate!

We kick off our month with the Holiday Ornament Decorating, sponsored by All Fired Up. We are looking for some parents to help on December 4th. Please come to the office to sign up to assist with this fun event. Information is also on the school website.

In celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, there is NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, December 12th. The teachers will be at school that day, completing our active assailant training.

Progress reports for Trimester 2 will be going out the week of December 17th.

Our annual Christmas Program will be on Wednesday, December 19th at 6PM in the gym.  Miss Stewart and the teachers have been working hard to prepare a wonderful, musical celebration with the theme, “The Polar Express”. The PTO will also have some treats for sale.

After-school activities continue this month, with boys’ basketball. Grade 4 will also be enjoying Pizza with the Priests on Friday, December 14th.

The cheers will be heard on Friday, December 21st when we release at noon for the Christmas Break.  Remember there is NO AFTERCARE on this day.

As we prepare for the birth of our savior let us remember to keep the real reason for the season in our hearts.  Sometimes the rush and craziness get in the way of remembering what Christmas is all about.  I wish you a wonderful season and a very Merry Christmas!

Please continue to check the school website for updates and follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@stannecatholicschoollv)

God bless,
Mary Beth Zentner, Principal
